Tomorrow I will celebrate my 7th anniversary with my wife. I cannot think of a better way to be reminded of the pure, passionate, and God honoring love my wife and I felt for each other that day than by being a part of Zach and Caitlynn’s wedding day. Everything about them as individuals and as a couple is so honest and sincere. They have the type of relationship that everyone around them knows is here to stay.
There is always an extra element of pressure when filming a friend’s wedding. But with the pressure also comes a familiarity (I cried during the matron of honor speech ) that allows me a great confidence in telling their story.
Congratulations Zach and Caitlynn… I hope I told your story well. We love you guys and your family and appreciate your friendship.
Thanks to Ellie Grover and Lorie Chambless with Ellie Grover Photography for an awesome day of creative collaboration. Thank you to my beautiful wife for 7 years of marriage and coordinating such a gorgeous wedding. Thank you to DJ Brian and to Brad Cordova for assisting me with this wedding.
August 31, 2010 - 7:05 pmian - well done man. i really enjoyed this and thought it was one of your best i've seen. you really captured the couple well.
August 31, 2010 - 9:22 amEllie - I can't believe you already made this!! Sooooo beautiful! I love the video and I loved that day :) Thank you Curtis for being so much fun to work with, and congratulations on seven years of marriage - you two are an amazing couple! Vali, seriously - GORGEOUS job on the reception, I'll be thinking about that for a long time!
Even after filming so many weddings, it’s amazing how each one is so unique… which was the word used over and over to describe the bringing together and love of Elliot and Monica. These two were so obviously in love and excited to be joined together as one. It was clear that they had both found someone who allowed the other to be themselves and appreciated their strengths, quirks, and humor.
Congratulations to my old friend Monica and my new friend Elliot.
Thanks to Anjuli at Photorange for being so awesome to work with. (photorangephotography.com/)
In Grace Cathedral, atop Nob Hill in San Francisco, Andrew and Hazel Wing vowed to love one another until death parts them. Maybe it was the majesty of Grace Cathedral, or the awe inspiring view of the city from the Crown room on the top floor of the Fairmont. Whatever it was, the whole day seemed to have a sense of wonder about it. Vows tend to have an unusual weight to them in a place like Grace Cathedral. Andrew was calm and collected as he prepared himself for the big moment, and across the street, Hazel held back tears of joy as she put on her wedding dress. You’d be hard pressed to find a more sincere or mature bride and groom. Andrew and Hazel held themselves very well throughout the day and I’m sure their families couldn’t be more proud of them than they are now. We are so excited to see how Andrew and Hazel’s love influences those around them.
Thanks to Patrick Ang Photography for bringing sexy back and being a joy to work with.
Jeff is the most adventurous person I have ever met. Since the 7th grade he has always challenged me and all those around him to live life to the fullest. I recognized while we were roommates for 4 years in college that it was going to take a special girl to win Jeff’s heart.
When Jeff met Angelina it was obvious that he finally met the girl that would become his partner in his greatest adventure yet.
I am so excited to have been a part of their dating relationship, a groomsman in the wedding, and put this highlights video together to two of my favorite people in the world. I love you both and look forward to many years and memories with you and your new family.

Also: thank you so much to Nick Bowser of Crafthouse Productions and of course Travis Avila for shooting this video and doing such an amazing job. Thank you to DJ Dennis as well for all of your extra work with the slideshow and helping me out with my toast… and of course providing an amazing dance party that lasted the entire evening.
There are times when wedding celebrations contain such an abundance of amazing memorable moments, it is nearly impossible to fit the day into a song’s length. From dancing dragons, hula dancers, 100 foot indoor water falls, and a picture perfect day in San Francisco, this wedding day was full of gorgeous moments to capture on film. Of course these details were all secondary to the love story of the couple. Messiah and Anh were so full of anticipation and excitement to become one, and we were given the privilege to witness the progression of emotions they felt throughout the day…. From Anh’s nervousness while getting ready all the way until she playfully bit Messiah’s ear before the reception! Congratulations to Messiah and Anh. It was such an amazing day and full of so many surprises.
Thank you to Colin Cabalka for filling in for Travis at the last minute and providing such amazing footage. Also thank you to ROCK THE IMAGE for everything. You guys were incredible to work with and I hope it happens again soon.

keep smiling even in the gloomy days of your lives.

It’s an amazing thing when two people have known each other as long as these two have, and yet, they have not lost the fire for one another. The time we spent with Joseph and Stephanie was romantic and confident. Stephanie still giggles when she interacts with Joseph, and you can tell how proud Joseph was to be taking Stephanie as his wife. Just before the official first day of Summer, Spring reminded us it wasn’t done yet, and gave us a nearly perfect, albeit windy, day in Shell Beach. A perfect day to celebrate the love of a great couple. The Cliffs Resort proved once again to be a terrific venue, led by coordinator Anna Fergus. The photographer, Patrick Ang, was just as humorous as he was collaborative. We can’t wait to see the photos. Congratulations Joseph and Stephanie! We wish you the best.

Traveling to a wedding usually brings with it a sense of anticipation…and lots of nerves. You’re driving down the highway planning shots, trying to remember what you forgot, and drinking about fourteen Red Bulls. This wedding was no different, except upon meeting Brooke and Cameron, our nerves were immediately settled. The girls were upstairs getting ready at the beautiful Palos Verdes Clubhouse, and the boys were at Cameron’s house, requesting that photos be taken indoors on account of the World Cup game. Cameron and Brooke made us feel at ease and inspired us to create something special. At one point during the first dance, we turned to each other with the same thought, “these two are definitely in love.” You can see it on their faces and in their interactions with one another. Granted we only see couples for one day in most cases, but we’ve built a business out of capturing moments, and we didn’t want to miss a single one. Every passing glance was full of emotion and sincerity. Seeing Cameron’s face as he watched Brooke walk down the isle, brought us a sense of joy, knowing that we’d captured something truly special and literally, once in a lifetime.
Congratulations Cameron and Brooke!
Also we would like to say that it was an honor to work with Marianne Lozano Photography. They were so humble, friendly, and considerate to us the day of the wedding and we hope to work together soon.

Roberto and Emily are some wonderful friends who were married on June 5th, 2010. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to attend their wedding due to a prior commitment.
Luckily though, Patrick Ang was available to film their wedding and provide me with some amazing footage to edit.
Editing this video made me feel as though I was there, witnessing the union of two amazing people.
Congratulations Rob and Emily. You guys are going to be such a great example to your friends of a committed, dedicated, and passionate marriage.
I love you guys and will miss you when you move back to New York.

6 years ago I began working for a church with the high school group. Among the amazing group of kids I got to know, were two individuals named Jayson and Ally. I remember thinking back then when they began dating how high school relationships never work out. Fortunately, Jayson and Ally proved me wrong!
This was one of the most relaxed weddings we’ve been to in a while. Jayson and Ally were willing to let us take them all over kingdom come to get some great couple shots. We had them walking through the dirt, carrying couches and a bunch of other random stuff, all for the sake of art. Being referred to as “my creative team” by Ally herself was an honor. Days seem very short when you are filming a couple who’s love for one another is visible through the lens. The ceremony and reception were held in a beautiful backyard garden, thanks to friends of the family. Everything was absolutely perfect, but one of the highlights of the night was definitely the dance floor. An engineering masterpiece built by Scott Fults that covered the middle section of the pool. It was great seeing the guests dancing two feet over the pool with water on both sides. We’re glad there were no accidents, but it sure would have made for an interesting video!
Congratulations Ally and Jayson! It has been so fun to see you guys grow up into the amazing couple you are today. I know you will have an absolute blast being best friends and living life to its fullest.
Amongst the discussion about white balance, exposure and framing comes discussion about the couple themselves. It’s always so intimidating when a couple lets us in on their relationship for a day. It’s intimidating because we want to create something that the bride and groom can say honestly represents themselves as a couple. What makes our job so much easier is when we get to work with a couple without pretense – which is exactly what we found with Tricia and Dustin. We had so many laughs with the bride and groom throughout the day, which showed us the comfort and ease with which these two people, and families, relate to one another. In addition to the relationships, we were blessed with beautiful weather and an amazing venue. It’s the kind of place where, just when you think you’ve gone too far, you’ve found it – a complete oasis. The day couldn’t have gone better. We are so pleased with Tricia and Dustin’s highlights video. Enjoy.
Thank you so much to both Wolf Lakes Park and Cindy and Johnny Stafford for being so accommodating and great to work with.
